Lunar New Year Celebration

Overview:

Join us to ring in the Lunar New Year, as we welcome the zodiac animal of 2020: the clever and energetic rat! We welcome everyone in Burlington to come together in celebration of diversity and unity as we kick off The Year of the Rat.

Performances start at 2 PM in the main theatre. Indulge in an afternoon of dazzling performances including Dragon and Lion Dance, Martial arts, ancient Chinese instruments, Beijing classical opera, Mongolian folk dance, contemporary vocalists, and chorus from local Redleaf Choir.

Outside the theater, we welcome everyone to enjoy the Chinese Qipao Show, Taichi, and Persian dance between 1:15-1:45, and explore our traditional art exhibition featuring live calligraphy demonstrations, tea ceremony, Henna drawing, silent auctions, prizes, and many more fun activities for the whole family. It lasts till 4:00 PM
