Overview:

Burlington’s annual Clean Up Green Up registration is now open. Sign up to participate in this popular and rewarding city-wide opportunity to safely collect litter from our communities, and you can also register to participate in various green up activities that you can do at home to help grow the local tree canopy and strengthen local biodiversity too!

BurlingtonGreen's 11th Annual Clean Up Green Up gets underway with an early start this year from Saturday, March 27th through to May 2nd, with opportunities for continued participation through to October 31, 2021. (We encourage groups to AVOID cleaning up Burlington on April 24th as there is another group organizing a city clean up, and we want to minimize the volume of people converging in parks on the same date.)

We invite you to safely gather your family, friends, social bubble, colleagues, community group or students to participate in this outdoor and physically distanced eco-action opportunity to clean up litter from Burlington’s parks, school yards, creek areas and neighbourhoods. Green Up activities encourage the removal of invasive plant species from home gardens, and the planting of native trees and pollinator plants. PLUS the dual-component annual event invites you to send along your eco-action photos, includes chances to win some great prizes, and we will be announcing some exciting FREE giveaways in the weeks ahead as well!

Visit www.burlingtongreen.org for further details and to sign up to participate!

Note: Your safety is of utmost importance - please be sure to follow Halton’s up-to-date COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions to ensure safe participation. Stay at home if you are unwell, wear a mask, keep 6 feet apart from others and adhere to the maximum outdoor gathering limits.

Thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the City of Burlington, and other community supporters for helping to make this impactful opportunity possible.

Together we make a difference!
