It's time to accelerate progress against ovarian cancer! Join the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, the largest and most powerful event of its kind in the country. The Walk is happening in communities across the country in-person and virtually Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Together, let’s make ovarian cancer a priority and fundraise to improve outcomes for Canadians living with and at risk of the disease.
Date: Sunday, September 8, 2024 Location: Spencer Smith Park Address: 1400 Lakeshore Rd., Burlington, ON L7S 1Y29
Walk route: Starting on the boardwalk in front of the Naval Canopy (gazebo, east side of the park by the Waterfront Hotel), we walk west towards the hospital. We stay on the waterfront pathway and turn around at the 2.5 km mark near the lift bridge. The route is mostly flat and paved but becomes compacted sand/gravel around the 2 km mark.
Parking: There are many free parking options on Sundays in the downtown area including municipal lots, garages, and on-street parking. For the most up-to-date information and an interactive map, please see the City of Burlington's website here. A common option is The Waterfront Parking Garage on 414 Locust St. which is close to the park and free of charge on Sundays. Fees are required to park at the Waterfront Hotel or the lot by the Spencer Smith playground.
