What is Proposed?
MHBC Planning has made an application to amend the Zoning By-law for the properties located at 490, 496 and 508 Walkers Line.
The subject lands are designated as ‘Residential – Medium Density’ in the Official Plan 2020. The applicable zoning of the subject lands is Low Density Residential (R2.1), Medium Density Residential (RM2) and Medium Density Residential with a site- specific exception (RM2-189).
This application proposes to amend Zoning By-law by creating a new site-specific exception (RM2-XXX) zone that permits development with a maximum building height of 4 storeys (13 metres), a maximum density of 43 units per hectare, reduced yard setbacks, reduced amenity area, reduced visitor parking and landscape areas. The building layout of the proposed plan is illustrated on the attached Concept Plan.
Application materials are posted on the City’s Development Project webpage at www.burlington.ca/490walkers
This meeting will be held using a hybrid model, allowing members of Council, City staff and the public the option of participating remotely or in person at Burlington City Hall
