This summer staple truly is the sequel you’ve been waiting for as Movies by the Lake returns for its 5th season with even more action, adventure, comedy, and family fun. Think of it as the sequel that actually lives up to the original. Each movie night transforms the waterfront into an open-air theatre. The sunsets deserve an award, the snacks deserve their own fan club, and everyone gets a front-row seat to unforgettable summer magic.
No tickets. No assigned seating. Just pure cinema-tic bliss. And the best part? The main characters are YOU! Whether you’re bringing the whole family, planning a date night, gathering your friend group, or flying solo, every guest gets to be the star of the show. And remember: arriving early is always a good plot twist!

This year’s lineup is packed with crowd-pleasers, family favourites, animated adventures, and feel-good classics that are guaranteed to earn two enthusiastic thumbs up. We’ll be setting up shop (or screen) parallel to the gazebo locate towards the eastern end of the park, near the Waterfront Hotel.
We’ll be highlighting this year’s movie titles, theme nights, special activities, and surprise features throughout the season, so stay tuned.
