the submission of Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning applications for
the proposed redevelopment of 62-70 Plains Road East. The public is
invited to attend the applicant's Pre-Application Consultation Meeting
on January 22nd. This will be an opportunity for you to meet the team behind the
project, learn about the development proposal, ask any questions and
provide feedback. Mayor Meed Ward and Councillor Galbraith will be in
attendance.
Proposal Details:
Located along Plains Road East, approximately 215 metres east of Waterdown Road and 650 metres south of Aldershot GO Station
The proposal is to redevelop the existing low-rise residential properties with a 10-storey, mid-rise building with approximately 121 residential units, including a mix of one and two bedroom units (subject to change)
Private indoor and outdoor amenity areas for residents are proposed on the first floor
Parking is provided in a one floor underground parking garage
Applications are required to amend the Official Plan and Zoning By-law as they apply to the site in order to permit the proposed height and density, as well as built form and other regulations (applications have not yet been submitted).
